Head off on a fun quad bike trek in Warwickshire on agile 300cc quad bikes! These Polaris Hawkeye quads are an excellent choice for trail riding - they're easy to control, have a fully automatic gear box and an excellent driver stance position, so before you know it, you'll be eating up the muddy paths and dense forest tracks.
What makes this quad biking experience near Leamington Spa unique is the fact that it takes place on ex MoD land. One hundred acres of it to be precise, giving you rutted and mud-filled tracks, steep slopes and woodland to explore on your trusty Polaris ATV. Equipped with off roading tyres, an air-cooled engine and big steel bumpers, these quads will pretty much go anywhere.
Before you can go off on your quad trek, you will be kitted out in full face helmet and gloves. Your quad biking instructor will gather your group together to explain the controls of the quad and you will drive around the initiation track to get used to moving off, steering and stopping.
Once deemed proficient at driving your quad, you'll head off over the fields and away on your challenging trek, with your instructor in the lead. The maximum group size for quad biking in Warwickshire is five per trek and you get to drive your quad bike for a full hour, offering excellent value for money.
Your hour long trek begins with a training session and introduction to the quads. Once you are happy with the controls you'll head off on to an undulating countryside stage to get a feel for the bikes, before moving on to a more challenging route through a 100 acres of woodland, mud and water. You'll be part of a group of up five riders following an experienced instructor. Full face helmets and gloves are provided. The quads are 300cc rear wheel drive Polaris Hawkeyes with all round independent suspension and automatic gearbox.
Sessions are available on most weekends and selected weekdays all year round. Treks usually start at 9.30, 12.30 and 2.00. Groups of three or more can usually have a wider range of dates. Smaller groups are usually combined to make a group of five riders.
This outdoor activity centre is in Warwick within easy reach of Leamington Spa, Coventry and Birmingham. There's easy road access via the M40 (J15).
All riders must be 16 or over and proof of age may be required. The bikes are full size adult machines that are easy to ride however a moderate level of strength is required. Riders must demonstrate their ability to use the controls and ride the bike safely before being allowed to participate. You are likely to get dirty so please wear old clothing or bring a change of clothes.
Small numbers of spectators can attend but must be confirmed when booking. Views of the activities are limited as the treks take place in 100 acres of woodland. There is a clubhouse on site with toilets, seating areas and snack vending machines.
