These hovercrafts in Shropshire are proper Formula 3 single seater racing hovercraft and are great fun to pilot around the varied course at this centre which is easily accessible from North Wales, the North West and the Midlands.
On the face of it, these hovercrafts are easy to drive, with just a throttle and steering to worry about, but the real skill comes in understanding the use of weight distribution to get the craft to go where you want it to go. These hovercrafts are powerful too, with 670cc engines and just you onboard, you'll soon be hurtling across some of the finest grass and water!
You will be given a safety briefing and shown how to handle the controls before being let loose on the track for a practice session. Then the hovercraft gauntlet is laid down, as you race against the clock to see who from your group will be crowned the king or queen on the hovercrafts. Don't forget to check our main hovercrafting page for more venues offering hovercraft racing.

Expect to spend between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours at the track depending on the group size on the day. All experiences include an introduction to the hovercrafts handling and controls, a practice driving session where you'll learn the course followed by a final driving session timed against the clock. Total drive time is approximately 25 minutes. You will be forming part of a group of up to 7 drivers taking turns to drive the hovercraft. Safety helmets are provided. You will be the only person in the hovercraft, instructors will monitor you from the edge of the course. Please visit our home page for a wide selection of over 550
