Mix hovercrafting with another exciting outdoor sport to make a superb combination experience in Leicestershire! Not only do you get to have a go at piloting a hovercraft, you also get to choose from archery, clay shooting or off road buggying.

Imagine clambering into the hovercraft for the very first time. It's a funny looking contraption and yes, you have to kneel down and kind of steer the hovercraft with your weight and the handlebar-style controls. The fact that there's a 50bhp noisy fan behind you and obstacles from mud to water splashes in front of you means maximum concentration to complete the course.

If you choose to then take on the clays, you'll need to stay cool, calm and collected to be able to take aim with your gun and blast those clays out of the sky. You'll get 25 targets to shoot at and if you've never had a go before, the instructors will tell you all you need to know.

More shooting is on offer with an archery session. This time you'll be trying to hit the bullseye using a traditional bow and arrow. It looks quite hard work, but it is actually a really relaxing and satisfying sport when you hear the twang of the arrow and thud as it hits the hay bale-filled targets.

If you're after more motorised fun, the mini off road buggies are sure to get you going. After being shown the controls and a quick practise session, you'll be off racing against the clock and trying to get a clear round of the circuit - there are penalties if you get sliding and take out the posts!

 All combo experiences last two hours, one hour will be spent hovercrafting with each participant receiving approximately 10 minutes flying time and the next hour spent experiencing either Archery, Buggies or Clay Shooting. Your hovercraft experience will begin with a short safety and instruction briefing before you kneel into the craft and enjoy approximately 40 minutes of flying time. Archery sessions include tuition and target practice with participants shooting approximately 35 arrows. Clay shooting sessions allow participants to shoot 25 sporting targets under guidance of professional instruction. The buggy experience involves a practice session before racing against the clock and trying to avoid incurring penalties if you hit the posts. Each participant will receive approximately 10 minutes driving time.


Combo experiences are available on most weekday and weekends dates throughout the year.


Flights take place at a professional hovercrafting site in Subbertoft, near Husbands Bosworth in Leicestershire.


There is a minimum age of 14 years old to take part in these experiences. A minimum of 5 participants are require for this experience.


Spectators are welcome to attend. Drinks and refreshments are available to purchase onsite. There are viewing areas and toilet facilities available onsite.
