Take a journey along the Kent coastline with this British Pullman tour to Folkestone. Departing in the morning from London Victoria station, stewards will show you to your seat and serve you a fresh brunch menu, complete with a nice Bellini cocktail - a fabulous way to start your day out.
On arrival in Kent, you will be taken on a guided coach to The Leas, the famous cliff-top promenade in Folkestone that boasts superb views of the harbour, the English Channel and the sandy beach below. As one of the famous Cinque Ports, you will also come across a Martello Tower, built to defend the coast against Napoleon and now a visitor centre. Once at the bandstand, you can take the Leas lift down to the beach area and have a wander towards the harbour, where you'll find the famous seafood stalls.
After your free time in resort you'll re-board the train, that is a suitably chic sister train of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, for the return leg of your British Pullman tour to Folkestone, travelling through the Kent countryside and back into the capital. Afternoon tea with a glass of Champagne will be served at your seat, as a most befitting finish to your very special British Pullman day trip. - Venice Simplon-Orient-Express regrets that passengers confined to wheelchairs will be unable to board the train
- Passengers with restricted mobility who require assistance to board the train must make arrangements with Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in advance of their departure
- Spectators are not permitted however they are welcome to accompany passengers to the train station and see them off
