Indulge in a tasty Afternoon Tea at the Courthouse - one of central London's most unusual hotels! The hotel was the former court house on Great Marlborough Street right in the busy heart of the capital and has seen some legendary legal cases in its time.
As you walk into the impressive lobby towards The Carnaby room for your afternoon tea for two, make sure you check out the original features of the building incorporated into this stylish boutique-style hotel. The Silk dining room was the main courtroom and the benches and wood panelling are still there in all their glory.
Settling into your seat in the bright and modern dining room for afternoon tea, you can look out onto that famous street with the same name and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. As you tuck into your traditional or chocolate afternoon tea, imagine what it was like when famous faces such as John Lennon, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Johnny Rotten and even Bob Monkhouse arrived to face the judges at this very address!
We love this afternoon tea experience at the Courthouse, as the place is steeped in modern history and perfectly placed in London for some retail therapy too, just seconds away from the posh boutiques of Bond Street, Liberty's department store and the bustle of Regent Street. Perfect for a day trip with girlfriends, your Mum or your partner. There's nothing nicer than tea in the afternoon in superb surroundings, take a look at our main
afternoon tea section for more information and venues.
