Your wine tour takes place at a stunning country house in Cambridgeshire that is home to a modern winery. The area boasts a rather special microclimate, meaning the 18 acres of free draining soil makes for abundant vine growth on the sun-soaked south westerly slopes.
On your tour you'll wander through the vines, learning about the traditional methods used on the estate. Grapes grown at this vineyard are all harvested by hand and include Schonenberger, Muller-Thurgau, Ortega, Pinot Noir and Reichensteiner all giving the wine a certain sweetness.
When it comes to tasting the wine produced on this estate, you'll remark at how the wines are characterised by a clear flavour, fragrant nose, firm body and good acidity. Of course, such an event deserves some fine food to go with the wines, so a two course lunch with coffee is included in the price, making for a truly sumptuous day out in the English countryside for any wine enthusiast. Other amazing
vineyard tours are on offer from IntotheBlue at vineyards throughout the UK.

You will assemble for tea or coffee at 10.30am before heading off on your guided tour of winery with a full explanation of vine growing, vineyard practice and making still and sparkling wines. Tasting of up to five different wines and then a two course lunch is served. Departures at about 1415 with a bottle of wine as a memento of the day.

Selected Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from March to October.

The Vineyard is located just 20 minutes from Cambridge with excellent road link to the M11 and 114.

All visitors must be over the age of 18. Comfortable shoes and outdoor clothing is advised. The walk to the vineyard lasts around half an hour. Those not wishing to take part in the walk are welcome to wait in the Bistro.

The activity is not suitable for spectators. The estate offers excellent facilities including a stunning country house with lots of interesting architectural features, an art gallery, shop, restaurant and conference centre.
