
This Champagne tasting experience takes place in the heart of central London and gets a night out in the capital off to a sparkling start, tasting up to eight different Champagnes. So if you don't know your Veuve Clicquot and Dom Perignon from your Mercier and Laurent Perrier, you soon will on these deliciously bubbly Champagne tasting experiences.
During this two hour Champagne tasting session, your expert taster will explain how grapes such as Chardonnay are double-fermented to create sparkling Champagne under the protection of the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Controlee). Champagne can only be produced in the Champagne region of northern France, with many Champagne producers nestled around Epernay and Reims.
They may all be labelled Champagne, but each brand is different and tastes vary from brut, to demi-sec and doux, so this tasting session means you can decide which Champagne you like best, as you study the colour and bubbles before quaffing from your Champagne tasting flute glass.

This Champagne experience lasts two hours and includes the tasting of 8 different champagnes, including vintage and special cuvees, under the guidance of a professional wine specialist. You'll learn the correct technique for tasting, styles of Champagne, how Champagne is produced and who the producers are. You'll learn top tips for selecting your perfect Champagne as well as some fun facts about the world of Champagne. The tasting is followed by a selection of smoked salmon canapes and cheeses, water, biscuits and notes are also provided. There is a fun quiz at the end of the session with the chance to win a bottle of premium Champagne. You may be forming part of a group of up to 20 guests.

Sessions take place on selected evenings throughout the year, usually weekdays from 7.00pm-9.00pm.

This activity is not suitable for spectators, however, the venue is close to Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Soho and Regents Park. The hotel offers a restaurant, bar and toilet facilities as well as providing access for disabled visitors.
