Here's a great Spanish cookery course that's conveniently located in Kent, at Broadstairs. Set within a language school, you will soon notice the importance placed on learning, yet feel immediately at ease due to the relaxed and informal environment.
There is a great emphasis on the culture and background behind the food, and what better way to learn than from expert chef Francisco Valles Gomez. With his vast knowledge of Spanish, Mexican and Latin American cultures, you will be learning some traditional and authentic recipes ranging from more conventional paella to chicken cooked in a spicy chocolate sauce!
Under the guidance of Francisco, you'll be assisting with various classic Spanish dishes. No need to take notes as you'll be given a printed copy of the menu and he is more than happy to answer any questions you might have during the course of the day. As the day progresses, you will move onto preparing the main courses. Although the majority of food will be made ready for lunch, there are some things which simply cannot wait to be eaten ... you will just have to try them as you go along!|
At the end of the course you will all sit down and enjoy the tasty meal you have been preparing. A glass of wine or beer will be offered during the meal, however, you are welcome to bring a bottle with you or quickly pop round the corner to the off license! Guests are also welcome to join you for the meal, by prior arrangement.
The school has a beautiful garden and during the summer months you can sit outside on the patio and enjoy the sunshine.
