Top television chef Rosemary Shrager offers cooking lessons and courses for all kinds of cuisine on these two day residential cookery courses in the superb surroundings of her school at a luxury castle hotel set in the glorious North Yorkshire countryside.

If you want simply to master the basics, or to look more closely at specific techniques and styles, Rosemary's relaxed, informative and friendly courses will provide the answer. Her cookery school is housed in a delightful converted Georgian stable wing, with a four-acre kitchen garden from which fresh ingredients are gathered.

Take advantage of this residential course to combine classroom sessions, fine food and the opportunity to enjoy the hotel's extensive leisure opportunities and the delights of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Single day courses are also available on our main cookery courses page.

Most of the Rosemary Shrager two day cookery course is spent "hands on", although the day is interspersed with a few demonstrations from Rosemary just to give you a breather. Courses are for up to 14 attendees. The kitchen has plenty of space and equipment for everyone to observe the demonstrations clearly and undertake practical work too. The course with accommodation allows one person to attend the course plus two nights accommodation in the B&B. This superb cookery experience is one of over 800 experiences on offer from IntotheBlue.

These Rosemary Shrager residential cookery courses are available in March, April, May, June, July, October November and December.

Customer Reviews

"We ate like kings, and had some beautiful walks in the grounds and by the lakes, and were just in time to revel in the Spring Garden. We fished at Leighton, we played croquet, and best of all we simply relaxed. It was without doubt the most enjoyable stay I have ever had in a hotel."

"I must congratulate the staff, whose service was impeccable. From the letter of confirmation, the welcome we received, the service in the Dining Room and the lovely cleaning ladies nothing was ever wanting, and yet they were never hovering around you. Just plain courtesy and supreme efficiency".

"We have been lucky over the years to stay in quite a few and varied excellent hotels at home and abroad, but I don't think that we have yet stayed in one that surpasses this place."
