
Gourmet cooking at its best under the watchful eye of French chef and baker Richard Bertinet, these courses in his purpose-built cookery school in beautiful Bath are sure to be a hit.
A renowned chef and baker, Richard's recent book, 'Dough' won the International Association of Culinary Professionals Cookbook of the Year 2006 and The Julia Child Award for best first book. His second book 'CRUST - Bread to get your teeth into' was published in September 2007. The school was opened in September 2005 and is superbly situated in the centre of beautiful and historic Bath.
The cookery school hosts an exciting menu of classes presented by local and nationally known guest chefs and food writers, offering diverse and specialist masterclasses. From learning the basics of sauces to the most renowned signature dishes from Michelin starred chefs, there is something for every talent and taste bud!
You will be certain to relax, taste the food and enjoy a glass of wine or two while you hone your skills and gain cooking confidence, allowing you to enjoy time spent making simple meals for the family or entertaining in style!

This is a full day gourmet course, usually running from10:00 to 15:30. There is at least three to three and a half hours of hands on cooking, dependent on the class. Afterwards a lunch with a glass of wine will be served and is included in the cost of the day. Maximum class size is 14 and there is one teaching chef and one assistant chef for 14 students. The cookery classes operate on regular weekdays and Saturdays throughout the year. Places are in high demand and are currently booking up to three months ahead.

Situated in central Bath and is easily accessible by train or road, however, parking near the venue is difficult. The cookery school can recommend nearby accommodation options if required.

Minimum age 18, as alcohol is served. As the classes are hands on, please ensure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear, aprons are provided and may be purchased if you would like to take them home with you.

Disabled access is available at this venue. The activity is not suitable for spectators.
