A chocolate day dedicated to all things cocoa makes for a great gift for any chocolate lover. This chocolate filled day is available near Stratford upon Avon or Birmingham and starts in the best possible way, with a chocolate fountain tasting session - you'll find yourself melting away to chocolate heaven as you dip and coat marshmallows, taste succulent chocolate covered strawberries and lock lips with slices of chocolate banana!

As if that wasn't enough gourmet chocolate fun, you'll then learn all about what chocolate actually is - soon chocolate lab jargon like refining and conching, roasting, cracking and winnowing will all make sense and you'll know your Criollo from your Forastero cocoa beans.

Then it's over to you for the hands-on confectionery creation. You'll be enrobing your sweets in fine Belgian chocolate, then adding tasty toppings to produce your delicate, hand-made chocolates, gift-wrapped by you!

Using the finest raw ingredients to create your very own moulded chocolate, there's also plenty of opportunity to taste the results. By the end of your chocolate creating day, you should leave with between 30 and 50 chocs and flavoured truffles. One day chocolate making courses are available in other locations.

This chocolate day experience lasts approximately 2.5 hours and covers the history of chocolate, piping, shaping, coating and packaging. You will then make a range of belgian truffles under the guidance of a professional Chocolatier. You will also enjoy sampling a chocolate fountain. At the end of the session you will take home 30 - 50 of your hand made creations.


Chocolate days are offered on selected Saturdays with 10:00 and 14:00 start times, throughout the year.


Two venues are available: just outside Stratford upon Avon with easy access from the M40 or the MalMaison Hotel in Birmingham.


Minimum age for these chocolate days is 14 years old. As the classes are hands on, please ensure you wear appropriate clothing and footwear, aprons are provided.


This activity is not suitable for spectators, but if they're lucky they might get to taste the chocolates you have made afterwards (if you've not scoffed them all during your chocolate day!). The venue offers free parking, toilets and provides wheelchair access.
