This Welsh Whisky Masterclass will see you discovering the wonderful world of Whisky made in Wales. This modern and friendly distillery is in South Wales, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the perfect spot for creating, amongst others, the renowned Penderyn Single Malt Welsh Whisky that you will enjoy tasting.
Your masterclass consists of a tour of the distillery and a tasting, all hosted by the head distiller or the visitor centre manager. You will learn all about whisky making in Wales, from malting to bottling and find out what the differences are between Welsh 'wysgi' and other varieties of Whisky. You will pass through the still room with the unique Faraday pot still, the bottling hall and see the two cork maturation process. In the company's boardroom you will be shown how to 'nose' the whisky and taste it.
This fun and informative Welsh Whisky masterclass wraps up with a visit to the exhibition area and shop, where you'll be able to browse, taste and buy the Penderyn Single Malt Whisky, the Brecon Five Vodka, Brecon Gin and Merlyn Cream Liqueur all produced in house.
