Adopt a penguin at your choice of Sea Life centre in the UK! Officially classed as being 'vulnerable' due to overfishing in their native Peru and Chile, the cute as a button Humboldt penguin needs you.
This special adoption pack means you can choose the penguin of your choice at one of many Sea Life centres around the country and you'll receive a lovely photograph and a personalised certificate declaring your support of your penguin.
You will also get an entrance ticket to the Sea Life centre so you can go and visit Mr or Mrs Penguin and see how they're getting on, meet their other penguin play mates and wander around and enjoy the whole Sea Life exhibition centre.
Oh and in case you were wondering, the Humboldt penguin, also known as a Peruvian Penguin or Patronca isn't a mammal (like we thought!) they are actually birds. Despite the fact that they don't fly and are perfectly adapted for living in the water, the little grey-speckled darlings on this Adopt a Penguin scheme are actually feathered and they lay eggs, so the adorable Humboldt penguins are officially birds. Don't say we don't teach you anything at Into the Blue!

The recipient must register their gift before the expiry date (usually at least 12 months from purchase date). This gift is produced in association with Sea Life and Save Our Seas. The organisation does not just concentrate its efforts on one particular species; the organisation runs various projects that help sea life in areas where they feel it is most needed. If for any reason your chosen project is unavailable Sea Life reserves the right to allocate the donation wherever they feel the need is greatest. For every person that registers their gift, approximately 10% of the RRP is donated directly to Sea Life. This is a novelty gift item and must be regarded as such.
Many adopters are able to visit their Penguin however this does depend on the location of the Penguin adopted.
