Go on a Taster Clay Pigeon Shoot in Bedford! This experience is perfect as an introduction to this fun and exhilarating outdoor sport, taking place at a renowned shooting ground just north of Bedford. In fact, this centre has been consistently voted one of the top 10 clay venues in the UK by The Field magazine.

Your shooting session will be led by a senior coach and starts with an important safety briefing. You will then be fitted with the correct size gun for your frame and given protective gear. Once out on the field you will be shown how to stand and how to mount the gun correctly, ready to take aim.

This taster clay pigeon shoot in Bedford boasts over 100 different traps, with a wide variety of clays being launched from 120ft towers. It's a real challenge and hitting your first target spot on is a thrilling moment you won't forget!

- All shooting equipment and protective gear is provided
- Tuition is included
- You can expect to shoot between 25 and 50 clays during your taster session
- You may be part of a group of up to four participants on the day


- Open all year round
- Sessions available Saturdays and Sundays, (groups of 4 can also book weekdays) 
- The ground is open 09:00 to 18:00 (light permitting) and 09:00 to 12:00 Sunday


- The shooting ground is half way between the towns of Bedford and Rushden
- Easy access via the M1, A1 and A14


- The minimum age for this experience is 8 years old
- Minimum height is 4ft
- Please wear casual clothing and sensible footwear for being outdoors


- Spectators are welcome to watch from the main lodge, but due to size of the park views will be limited
- The Shooting Lodge has a cafe, restaurant and toilet facilities
- Hot and cold drinks are available all day, with snacks and meals at lunchtimes
- There is a bar, but no alcohol will be served before or during shooting sessions for participants
