It's all very green and pleasant at this centre in the grounds of Slaley Hall - rolling hills as far as you can see and the mist over the moors in the morning makes for a superb location for learning the genteel sport of clay pigeon shooting.
If you've never had a go at clay pigeon shooting before, this experience is perfect as a fully qualified instructor will be on hand to teach you how to handle the gun, load it, aim and fire at the clay targets. All tuition is geared towards ability, so the activity is also suitable for someone who has already learnt the basics.
We are offering learn clay pigeon shooting experiences with 30 or 50 targets to aim at. Of course, you might not hit and smash all of them to smithereens, but we think you'll certainly have fun trying. All the equipment you need is provided for you too.

Your clay pigeon shooting lesson will last between one and two hours, with a safety briefing included. Your qualified shooting instructor will get you kitted out and then give you tuition as you are at the trap. Depending on the voucher chosen, you will have 30 or 50 clay pigeon targets fired off. You will be part of a group on the day.

The activity takes place in the grounds of Slaley Hall in the heart of Northumberland countryside west of Newcastle.

The minimum age for clay pigeon shooting is 13 years. All the equipment needed for the activity is provided by the operator. Please dress appropriately for the activity, which takes place outdoors.

On site there is a wooden cabin with toilets. The activity isn't suitable for spectators, but friends and family can come along and wait in the cabin. Next to the outdoor centre there is a luxury hotel with spa, restaurant and bar facilities.
