
Learn Clay Pigeon Shooting at this fabulous family-run centre in Hertfordshire. The shooting ground is set within the M25 just north of London and close to the towns of Borehamwood and Barnet, so there's easy access from all areas of London and the Home Counties.
The ground was originally owned by Boss Guns as a testing ground for their guns. The current owners, the Capaldo family, took over in 1997 and set about creating one of the best-equipped shooting grounds in the south east. Now there are 12 English Sporting traps, Olympic and Helice shooting too, all over 32 acres.
So over to you and your chance to learn from professional coaches who all exude patience and enthusiasm for teaching the sport of clay shooting. With teaching and practice, by the end of your session we're sure you'll be hitting the targets and watching the clays explode.
Before you head out to the traps to learn clay pigeon shooting at this friendly ground in Hertfordshire, you'll be kitted out with shoulder, eye and ear protection and given a gun appropriate to your physique and ability. Then it's time to learn from the experts and getting shooting those clays!

Your clay pigeon shooting experience in Hertfordshire will be for either 25 or 50 clays with instruction included. After a welcome and safety briefing you'll be kitted out with protection for eyes, ears and shoulder as well as being designated an appropriate shot gun. Your instructor will give you tuition and you'll aim at clays at different traps on the shooting ground. The experience is available for two to 25 people, with a maximum of five shooters per instructor.

The shooting ground in Hertfordshire is open Wednesday to Saturday inclusive 10:00 to 18:00 and Sunday mornings 10:00 to 13:00, all year round. In winter the ground shuts at 16:00.

The ground is located near Rowley Green, just off the A1 in Hertfordshire between Borehamwood and Barnet.

The minimum age for learning to clay pigeon shoot at this club is 13.

Spectators (but not large numbers) are welcome and will be able to head out with the participant to the traps to watch (subject to instructor agreeing) and there is a comfortable clubhouse serving fantastic Italian coffee and refreshments too. The ground covers 32 acres of English woodland and countryside.
