
Our Own a Pony Day in Kent is perfect for any youngster who has dreamed of owning a horse. If you have a child who is desperate to get a pony, this full day out near Canterbury will see them having their own pony - but just for one day. As well as getting time to ride, they will learn lots about how to look after their pony from feeding to mucking out.
This equestrian centre near Canterbury prides itself on offering the very best tuition from a team of staff who have all been CRB checked and are First Aiders. The atmosphere is lively and fun, but always safe, with a stable of ponies that are calm and co-operative, so ideal for young boys and girls who want to get a feel of what it's like to own their very own pony, whether they are beginners or already riding.
From the start of this own a pony day, each child will be given a pony that they will look after all day. All activities are fully supervised and include important duties such as grooming, feeding, mucking out, turning out, bringing in. tack cleaning, prepping the ponies for exercise or competitions, health of the ponies and general yard duties too. Of course, there is also time for riding their pony, with a riding lesson in the morning and mini competitions for rosettes in the afternoon, before settling their ponies in the stable for the night.

- This experience is suitable for girls and boys alike
- Beginners and nervous riders are especially welcome
- Suitable footwear and clothing according to the weather should be worn (leggings/track suit bottoms/comfortable trousers) and flat footwear with a small heel and smooth sole should be worn (not trainers)
- Minimum age seven, maximum 15
- Younger children must be accompanied by an adult
- All children must be signed in and out and registration forms must be completed on the day
