Fun with their feathered friends on this Kids' Falconry Party in Kent! Up to 14 youngsters can gather at this farm in Kent to meet the birds of prey and fly them too on this exclusive kids' group experience. Head falconer Randal and his team are great fun and really know their stuff, so the kids are going to love it.
The stars of the show are undoubtedly the magnificent birds of prey. Jess, the Harris Hawk, is a calm and patient bird who loves to put on a display and show off. Then there's Olga, an impressive Hawk with a huge wingspan and Chillie the Falcon who can dive in the air at speeds of up to 80 miles an hour. You'll also meet Elsa the Eagle Owl who was hand reared as a chick by Randal and Ghost the beautiful Barn Owl.
Each child will be kitted out with their own special falconry glove and there's plenty of time for them to meet and fly the birds. Randal and team will show them just how it's done and then you can marvel at the sheer delight on the children's faces as birds like Ghost the owl swoop silently in to land gracefully on their gloved hand.
This Kids' Falconry Party in Kent is a great choice for an unusual birthday party. The falconry centre provides soft drinks for the kids and hot drinks for the adults and you are welcome to bring along a cake and picnic to be eaten in the barn. With one accompanying adult for every two children required, it means the adults can have fun spectating too!
Kids falconry parties will last for 2 hours. Each child will be fitted with their own glove. They will each be given the opportunity to handle and fly the hawks and owls. Up to 14 children may attend with 8 parents accompanying/spectating.
Kids falconry parties are available on weekdays and selected weekday dates.
The falconry centre is located in between Orpington and Sevenoaks in Kent. There is easy access from Junction 4 of the M25.
There must be one accompanying adult per two children. Sturdy footwear and warm, outdoor clothing is recommended.
Spectators are welcome. Soft drinks are provided by the venue. You are welcome to bring along a birthday cake which the falconry team will present to the birthday boy or girl. If you would like to bring along your own refreshments there are picnic areas available onsite in the fields or hay barn.
