Learn archery at this small and friendly centre in the Yorkshire Dales that has a relaxed, club feel to it. From the moment you arrive, you will be made to feel welcome and as you are introduced to staff, you can't help be impressed by the beautiful setting of the Coniston Estate.

What we love most about this archery activity is that the instructors here have all been trained up by world champion coaches and they have excellent methods to show you in easy to understand ways, how to get the most of your time with the bow and arrows.

Archery takes place in a purpose built area on the 1400 acre site in sheltered bays so you are well-protected from the weather. One piece of advice, it's hard, but try not to get distracted by the stunning views all around you as you're lining up to take your shots!

In essence, this chance to learn archery in the Yorkshire Dales is an excellent choice for a more intimate archery lesson within a very natural and peaceful environment. The activity is ideal for families, as vouchers are available for one to four people and children 10 years or over are able to have a go too.

As you arrive at the centre you will be welcomed by the friendly staff and given a safety briefing and instruction session. The experience will allow you to work on your balance, poise, accuracy and timing under the instruction of the experts Archers. You will be using the latest in high velocity bows and can even take part in some friendly competition with other participants on the day. The experience lasts approximately one hour. All instructors have been trained by world champion coaches and have simplified coaching methods. This Archery experience is available on Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year. The shooting range has sheltered bays meaning it is suitable for most weather conditions.


This shooting range is situated within 1400 acres of the Coniston Estate in the Yorkshire Dales.


There is a minimum age of 10 years old. All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.


Spectators are welcome. There is a clubhouse onsite serving both hot and cold drinks and snacks. During the winter months there is a log fire to welcome guests. There is also ample parking available.
