This archery lesson in Hertfordshire takes place at an outdoor activity centre near Ware and you'll be taking part in a target archery experience using wooden recurve bows and alloy tube arrows.
All the kit is Olympic-standard with bare bow style bows (that's to say no sight), aiming at full-sized targets either indoors or outdoors. Your fully qualified GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) archery instructor will be on hand to kit you out with the right weight and length of bow and arrows, so you'll feel comfortable. With the range of archery kit on offer, children from the age of ten upwards can enjoy these archery experiences in Hertfordshire.
We sell vouchers for one, two or groups of up to eight people to take part in these archery experiences, you'll learn how to adopt the archer's stance, take aim, pull back and release the arrow, hoping for a good few on target shots. Once you've got the hang of archery, the experience ends with a competition-style round of 16 arrows, with the highest scorer being the master or mistress marksman (or woman!) of the day.

The archery session lasts for an hour and includes a safety briefing, tuition on how to hold the bow, load an arrow and release.
Archery lessons are available throughout the UK from our main archery home page.
After more coaching and practice shots the session will end with a fun competition or personal scored round of 16 arrows. Archers will receive a personalised certificate including their score on the final round. All tuition is provided by experienced archers with the head coaches GNAS (Grand National Archery Society) qualified and registered. You may be forming part of a small group with other guests.
