Experience Ref:ARCED1

Shoot those arrows like an expert at this archery centre in Edinburgh! Learn how to handle the bow, load the arrow, adopt the stance, take aim and then fire at the target. Talking of targets, the beauty of this location is that you can have a traditional bullseye in your sights, or choose something more usual to aim at, such as balloons or even play a game of archer's tic tac toe or darts.

This activity is very easy to organise as a small group, as you can buy a voucher for up to six people to participate in the experience together.

The setting for these archery days in Edinburgh is breathtaking. You'll gather in the grounds of this 13th century Scottish castle to shoot your arrows. Just seven miles outside the hustle and bustle of Edinburgh, this is a truly picture postcard castle and a highly appropriate place to immerse yourself in this majestic country sport. Other popular archery lessons are available in clubs around the UK.
Your experience will begin with a brief tuition period and introduction to the equipment. You will then enjoy aiming for the bullseye target or balloons under the guidance of a experienced archery leader.
This experience is available on selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year and dates can be made available upon request.
Experiences take place at the Dalhousie Hotel estate located in Bonnyrigg in Edinburgh.
There is a minimum age of 9 years old. All participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants will be equipped with a suitable bow for their strength and skill.
A maximum of two spectators are permitted per participant with a fee of £15 per person payable on the day. There is a Bistro onsite serving drinks, light snacks and meals as well as a gift shop.
I bought the Archery for two last year as a present for my boyfriend in Edinburgh. It was really wonderful and we had a great time. The people were very nice and the location was a big plus!
