Enjoy archery in Cheshire or try archery and air rifling combined - the choice is yours! Brilliantly located for easy access from Manchester, Liverpool and Chester, this archery and outdoor centre at Catton Hall is a superb backdrop for a taste of target practise.
If you decide on the archery experience, you'll start off with a welcome and safety briefing before heading to the target range, bow in hand. What we like about this venue is that a range of bows are available for you try.
There's the traditional long bow (think Robin Hood and the Battle of Agincourt!), then there's the recurve bow (think proper sportsmanship as it's the bow used by archers in the Olympic games) and finally compound bows which were developed for bow hunting, but have recently been adapted as a new form of target shooting bow.
Plumping for the archery and air rifling combined experience means you get to spend time shooting the bow and arrows, before being taught by a real ex-Army weapons instructor how to be a rifle hot shot with these pre-charged non-recoil air rifles. Thrilling stuff and much more of it on our
archery lessons main section!

You may choose between a one hour Archery session or a 1 hour and 45 minutes Archery and Air Rifling Combo Experience. Both include a full safety briefing, tuition and practice. The archery sessions allow you to choose from a range of archery equipment including traditional long bows, recurve bows and compound bows with participants taking part in a friendly archery competition. All instructors are members of the G.N.A.S (Grand National Archery Society). The Air Rifling includes the use of pre-charged, no recoil Rifles under the supervision of an ex Army weapons instructor. Participants will aim at the 15 to 30 yard targets.

This experience is available on Saturdays throughout the year. Sessions are available from 9.30am through to 4.30pm. Groups of over seven may be able to take the experience during the week depending on availability.

These shooting experiences take place within the 200 acres of Cheshire countryside in Frodsham. Chester, Liverpool and Manchester are only a 30 minute drive away.

There is a minimum age of 15 years old. All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.

Spectators are very welcome to view the participants in action from the Veranda at the Lodge Cabin. The cabin offers a wood burning stove, bar, refreshments and toilet facilities.
