This fly fishing course take place at an idyllic country setting on private lakes in Staffordshire. With three spring-fed lakes clustered together on the Loynton Hall estate between Stafford and Telford, you'll find this a very relaxing way to be taught to fish.
The estate offers excellent stillwater fly fishing for trout, with catches falling between 3lbs and 28lbs. Steve Yeomans is your full time, professional angler who is the main fishing expert at this venue and is sponsored by award-winning fishing tackle and accessories shop Orvis.
The brilliant thing about this half day fly fishing courses is that it is all under exclusive instruction, so you will learn a lot and will soon know your dry flies from your nymphs and lures. The setting is also stunning and the log cabin style club house makes for the perfect place to reflect on your fishing over a coffee.
You will receive exclusive tuition from an expert instructor as you learn new skills and tactics on the water allowing you to confidently catch trout. Your experience will include all equipment, set up and fly selection, overhead cast and roll cast technique tuition, instruction on watercraft and safety and all the necessary fishing techniques to get you started.
Experiences take place most weekdays and weekends throughout the year from 9am until 1pm.
This Orvis endorsed Tuition days take place on the stillwaters of Loynton Fisheries in Staffordshire, located close to the county borders of Shropshire and Cheshire.
There is a minimum age of 13 years old. All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. Comfortable and waterproof outdoor clothing as well as sturdy footwear is required.
Unfortunately spectators are not permitted. Facilities onsite include fishing lodges where participants can relax as well as a tea room where lunch and refreshments are available to purchase. The site also has one of the largest Orvis fishing stores in the UK.
