Enjoy a fly fishing lesson at the renowned Cotswold Water Park! These fishing lessons will literally get you immersed in the world of angling, as you're surrounded by 140 beautiful lakes, 74 of which are reserved for fishing.

With such a gorgeous back drop, we're sure you'll find these experiences peaceful and ultimately relaxing. The lessons take place on a one to basis and are tutored by professional angler Steve or one of his dedicated team on mature fishing lakes in the heart of the park.

These club lakes boast particularly clear waters, which means anglers benefit from excellent visual fishing and catches of at least 4lbs are the norm here. Hopefully you too will be hauling in trout specimen of this weight once you've learnt the basics of fly fishing.

These fly fishing lessons in Gloucestershire are ideal for beginners as all equipment is included and you'll be taught all about setting up the rod, fly selection, overhead line casting and roll casting techniques. Armed with this knowledge, you should be successfully casting and catching fish by the end of your lesson.

Your fly fishing tuition will teach you new skills on the water to enable you to fish for trout confidently. Your experience will include all equipment hire, set up and fly selection, tuition on basic overhead and roll cast techniques and a deeper knowledge on fishing tactics and techniques.


Experiences take place most weekdays and weekends throughout the year. Half days run from 9am until 1pm. Full days run from 9am until 5pm.


These half and full day tuition experiences take place with the Cotswold Water Park in Gloucestershire. There is easy access from the M4 and M5 and is within a 1 hours drive from Oxford, Worcester, Birmingham, Bristol and Salisbury.


A minimum age of 13 is required to attend these tuition experiences. All under 16's must be accompanied by an adult.
