Meet and fly adorable owls on this owl walk in Kent! Randal and his team of dedicated and highly knowledgeable falconers are only too happy to share their love of these gorgeous birds of prey at their farm between Orpington and Sevenoaks.
A proper, relaxed country setting then for this owl walk. The experience starts with meeting the team over a cup of tea or coffee. You'll then get kitted out with a special handler's glove before meeting the real stars of the show - the owls. Ghost is a very pretty Barn Owl who was rescued by Randal and has the most docile personality that owl walkers love. Then there's Elsa the regal Bengal Eagle Owl. She's an impressive sight and loves to hunt.
After being shown how to hold and handle the owls, you'll head off for a walk in the woods, to be able to experience these owls in their favourite surroundings - classic Kentish woodlands. Watching the birds fly and come back to land on your hand is a truly amazing adventure that will take your breath away. Once back at the barn, there's plenty of time to handle the birds at close quarters and take photographs.
This owl walk experience in Kent will see you getting hands-on involved with these superb birds. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, but you will learn an awful lot about the owls, their behaviour and their habitats as the team at this small centre are really passionate about their feathered friends and it's sure to rub off on you too.

You will be given a complimentary welcome drink upon arrival. You are then fitted with your falconry glove before being introduced to the first owl. The expert falconer will teach you how to hold and handle the bird safely. You will learn how to weigh the owls before setting off on a short walk into the woods where you can fly the owl to the fist whilst gaining knowledge on the birds behaviour and hunting techniques. Then follows the opportunity to fly a barn owl, scops owl, and eagle owl. Throughout the experience there will be great photo opportunities. The experience will last approximately 2 and a half hours. Experiences are often on a one to one basis, during peak periods you may be part of a small group of up to three guests.
Owl experiences take place on weekend and selected weekday dates.
