What could be more magical than a Hawk walk in the Lake District? Take a wander through the deciduous woodlands with the professional falconers and congregate at a secluded cove on Lake Windermere as you watch and marvel at the hunting prowess of the Harris Hawks. These informative Hawk walks will certainly take your breath away as you immerse yourself in the stunning wild and rugged environment these birds of prey love.
These Hawk walks are available all year round and in the summer months you can book an evening walk, making the most of the prime hunting time around dusk, when the prey comes out to play. Despite being ferocious hunters, you'll be amazed at how the Hawks fly from tree to tree and then glide gracefully and gently back onto the gloved hand of the handler.
The aim of these Hawk Walks is to let you feel part of the hunting team with the highly trained Harris Hawks and handlers, all working in unison to get the very best out of mother nature as the birds of prey get to work hunting. Hawk walks are a great activity for all the family, so if you're heading to the Lake District on holiday, these experiences are a brilliant activity all ages will enjoy.
