Falconry Experience in Devon

Try falconry in Devon and enjoy the cream of the English countryside. Dedicated and eternally enthusiastic falconry duo David and Michelle will be only too pleased to entertain and enthral you and your family on these very special half day falconry sessions.
The falconry activity operates out of two prime Devonshire locations; from a country house hotel estate near Tavistock or in the grounds of a Jacobean mansion near Okehampton. Both right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park and near the River Tamar, the setting for your falconry encounter couldn't be better, as you will be enjoying the raptors in their true natural environment.
These engaging and educational falconry sessions start with meeting the birds and go onto include a free-flight display, a hawk walk and lots of time for you to try on the gauntlets and attempt flying to the lure. If you opt for the individual falconry in Devon voucher, you may be part of a small group, but if you choose the family falconry option, two adults and two children will enjoy exclusive time with the professional falconer and there is no lower age limit for the children.

You will receive a welcome and introduction plus briefing on the history of falconry. You will meet a selection of birds of prey and take part in a hawk walk through the woodlands. There are plenty of opportunities to handle and fly the birds yourselves under the guidance of your professional falconer. You may be forming part of a group of up to 4 participants.
