Be entertained by the gorgeous raptors on your Full Day Hawking Experience in Dorset! Loads of hands-on experience is included in this introductory day, so you can get a real feel for the work of a professional falconer at this friendly centre near Bridport.

Your full day starts with being introduced to both the birds and your host for the experience, Martin. A highly experienced and dedicated falconer for many years, he will only be too delighted to present his feathered friends to you. There's Jade, the Red Tailed Hawk, Ginny the Northern Goshawk and Fudge, the Ferruginous Hawk, as well as the Harris Hawks Jazz and Mabel, the big winged birds of prey that are always so popular with visitors.

During the morning session on your full day Hawking experience you'll be given an insight into the life and work of a falconer, including how to handle the birds and what training involves, all presented in an way that's not information overload or boring. After lunch you will spend the whole afternoon flying the Hawks and this is when you will see the true grace and power of these birds in flight.
